Organic Produce Boxes
Here’s an inexpensive, easy way to get lots of fresh organic produce into your diet: organic food boxes. These boxes are usually delivered on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and include a variety of seasonal local organic produce - usually for less than what you’d pay in the grocery store. I receive a box I pick up from a community drop-off every two weeks from FoodShare, a local non-profit in Toronto. If door-to-door service is more your style there's Front Door Organics also in Toronto. Google for something similar in your area (and post it here!), when local farmers do this directly it is known as Community Supported Agriculture (CSA).
