Environmental Earth Angels accepting applications from Ontario Teachers for Schoolyard Tree Planting & Butterfly Gardens

http://www.earthangels.ca

Environmental Earth Angels is currently accepting applications in Ontario for the Bio-Action Program, Schoolyard Tree Planting and Butterfly Gardens. The organization delivers award-winning environmental programs that are removing tonnes of pollution from the air and water each year.

Proactive, hands-on programs combined with classroom instruction allow students to physically tackle the problem. Earth Angels provides all of the necessary materials for teachers to deliver these programs to their class - free!

The need to take immediate environmental action has never been more evident then now. In the past 15 years, Environmental Earth Angels has taken action against the impact of pollution on climate change and the environment. They are committed to developing and delivering environmental programs that empower children and communities to take positive action and immediately reduce pollution.

School, clubs or community groups are invited to get involved. The programs are free and available throughout Ontario. Students can learn about Biodiversity, Tree Planting, Butterfly Gardens, Stream Revitalization, Energy Conservation and more.

Spaces in each program are limited. Visit www.earthangels.ca for more information and to register your class or school for one of the programs today!

While you’re there, visit the new Virtual Biodiversity website. This interactive tool encourages Canadians to learn about their environment and to share their actions and achievements with others. The site provides a forum for working together and learning from each other.

As a direct result of Earth Angels’ programs over 650,000 students from more than 700 schools have planted over 7,000 large indigenous trees on schoolyards across Ontario; students have revitalized 12 streams; thousands of families have incorporated electricity conservation into their lives. The outcome? Thousands of tonnes of pollution has been removed from the air, ground and water. That’s a benefit that impacts us all.
