The phrase "energy bars for kids" gets me a little worried... then I think of this and I laugh... then I cry a little. To be sure it's an emotional roller coaster ride being me, but that's a bit off topic considering this is supposed to be a review of Clif Kid ZBar energy bars for kids.

These organic bars, available in a few delectable flavors, actually have a pretty good nutritional profile loaded with whole grains - a whole lot better than a chocolate bar or even some of those high-fat high-sugar granola bars. This isn't surprising since Clif got its start making nutritious energy bars for grownups that actually taste good. ZBars definitely continue the tradition - I know if I had kids I'd have a hard time not hoarding them for myself. At less than 50 cents each when bought in bulk and with 95% organic ingredients they're definitely a green deal. Here's how I rated them:
