Voting

Just click the “vote” button to vote for your favorite GreenDeals, you don’t even have to be logged in or registered - it’s as simple as that. Vote for as many deals as you like but you may only vote once per deal. You can also vote against deals simply by clicking the “Mark as Not Green” button.

Browsing Deals

The front page of the site highlight deals that have received a certain number of votes - these are our Best Deals. To see the most recently shared deals go to the New Deals section, vote for the best of these to promote them to the front page.

Sorting and Searching

Deals can be sorted by time, tags or location - and you can always search.

“Best” and “New” deals can be sorted by those that have received the most votes today, yesterday, in the past week, month or year.

Tags are keywords assigned to deals by their authors. These can include the store or city where the deal is available or anything else the author thought was important. Just click a tag to see all other deals with the same tag. Like tags, you can also click the location where a deal is available to see more like it.

Get ‘Em While They’re Hot!

Some deals are only available for a limited time, you’ll notice the expiry date and time turn red when there are fewer than 24 hours remaining - another good reason to check the “new deals” section often.

Sharing GreenDeals

To share deals you’ll need to register for a free account, it takes about 20 seconds. Just pick a username and password, and enter your email address - don’t worry, we’ll never share your information with anyone. Once you’ve registered you can do lots of stuff like commenting, changing your profile and saving deals but for now we’ll just focus on sharing deals.

To share a deal:

1. Enter a URL if you have one, if not just hit continue.
2. Enter the deal information and click to continue.
3. Make sure everything looks right and don’t forget to click “share this deal!” at the bottom of the page.
4. You’re done! Watch your deal get votes (or not) - maybe it’ll make it to the main page!
