I’ve reviewed quite a few Newman’s Own Organics products here before and generally we’ve really enjoyed them. While I worry a little about sounding like a broken record, these organic chocolate chip cookies are no exception to NOO’s line of tasty well-made products. My wife’s favs were the Chocolate Chocolate Chip - she said my preference, the Orange Chocolate Chip, made her feel “yucky” after eating more than one. This wasn’t the case for me of course, although after scarfing half the bag I was starting to see what she meant.

I wouldn’t recommend eating half a bag of cookies to anyone, but if you’re going to follow my lead these yummy trans fat free bites will be a little easier on your arteries than others. This is because instead of the usual 86% saturated palm kernel oil, Newman’s Own Organics uses 50% saturated palm fruit oil - the best of the “big three” tropical oils. Not only do Newman’s Own Organics make these eco-conscious organic cookies a bit healthier than the competition, they also donate all profits to various charities - as they do with all their products. Priced at a reasonable $3.50, it looks like we have another winner:
