We’ve talked about how Newman’s Own donates all it’s profits to charity before and I’ve even reviewed their soft Hermits cookies and their Oreo-clone Newman-O’s too. As we approach end of the seemingly endless box of goodies Newman’s sent us we came across these soft “cake and fruit” Fig Newman’s. Now these are obviously a Fig Newton knockoff but I think they might even go one step further. In fine print on the package Newman’s thanks Kraft Foods, makers of the original Fig Newtons. I can’t tell if this is simply because Kraft owns the trademark or if they actually manufacture the cookies for Newman’s. Not being a regular Fig Newton eater I can’t say how similar these are to the real thing - if you know please let us know in the comments.
