Mmm… Organic Beer…

USDA Certified Orlio Organic Common Ale and Seasonal Black Lager from Vermont to be exact.  I really enjoyed both of these.  The Common Ale’s lightly hoppy slight sweetness and the Black Lager’s chocolaty heartiness were a well complimented by Orlio’s short, all-natural, organic ingredients list.

Also always, I like to see companies striving to be green in the broadest sense possible and I was disappointed not to see a lack of any evidence that Orlio is trying to use environmentally friendly packaging or energy for example.

Overall, a great organic brew, could be greener - but a good start.  Here’s how they rate:
