Planet, makers of environmentally friendly cleaning products, sent me their laundry liquid and dishwashing liquid to try out recently. Both products are unscented and uncolored, hypo-allergenic and not tested on animals. They’re also certified biodegradable by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) which means at least 70% of the stuff will degrade into basic natural substances (carbon dioxide, water and basic minerals) within 28 days. That’s pretty great, especially if you plan on using the products outdoors or in places with limited graywater treatment. Since everything biodegrades eventually it’s comforting to know that Planet’s products are certified to do so quickly.

I found both products cleaned well and while I personally prefer my laundry detergent to be lightly scented, I can understand that some are sensitive to it. The prices on Amazon seem to be pretty comparable to other brand-name cleansers so I’m going to go ahead and give Planet products the GreenDeals Daily seal of approval. Here’s how I rated them:
