Preserve Toothbrushes by Recycline

Like the preserve products we’ve reviewed here before (see below) these adult and kids toothbrushes are made from 100% recycled plastic with Stonyfield Farm yogurt cups making up 25% of the blend. They come packaged in a convenient travel case that even has little vent holes to keep your brush from getting mildew-y. Once you’ve worn the bristles down just pop it into Recycline’s postage-paid mailer and your old brush will be turned into plastic lumber.

I can’t vouch for having used the kids brush but it does have fun animal facts on the package and a nice big handle for little hands to grip. The adult brush’s sweeping curved handle took me a little getting used to but after using it for a month I really like the way it helps me get all the nooks and crannies plaque (not to mention the evil gingivitis) might be hiding in. I also liked the size of the head which wasn’t as big as many of the newfangled high-tech brushes. The price of Preserve’s toothbrushes isn’t as big as those feature-filled brushes either, at just about $2.50 each, they’re definitely a green deal.
