Tofurky Vegetarian Feast For the Holidays
Tags:
Tofurky is a vegetarian turkey alternative that's great for the upcoming holiday season. We tested the Tofurky Vegetarian Feast which includes a tofurky roast, dumplings, gravy and "wishstixs". Here's our video review:
So as you can see we really enjoyed the Tofurky Vegetarian Feast, although some of us disagreed on the value of the add-ons (I thought the dumplings were worth the added cost). Overall I must say I highly recommend Tofurky to anyone having second thoughts about meat over the holidays. Here's how it did on our rating scheme:

Lori, I would give Tofurky another try. We (my wife and I) have been eating their products for the last few years and we really like them. Everything is really tasty.
Maybe they did change their recipe, because right when we started buying their stuff, we tried that turkey-shaped roast and it wasn't the best. But now we buy their cold cuts and salsages and they're really good.
We just bought the Vegetarian Feast and we're going to try it out for Christmas. We'll let you know how it goes! :-)

Either Tofurkey has undergone a dramatic transformation since I tried it a few years ago, or these reviewers have no taste buds. My family and I all found Tofurkey to be vile. I would prefer to eat an unseasoned block of raw tofu than this thing.
My vegan solution to Christmas dinner is to stop trying to imitate meat and just embrace the side dishes. A cooked-outside-the-bird stuffing with lots of pecans and other nuts takes care of the protein portion of the meal quite nicely.
