For those who don’t find themselves in the enviable position of having (or being) an open-minded boss, you can find a new one with our roundup of green employment sites.

Transportation

Worried about the storage capacity of your bike? Get a deal on a trailer and get a workout while you do the grocery shopping.

Going vegetarian or reducing your meat consumption can be a big money saver considering meat often costs over than three times more than vegetable protein sources. Once you make the switch you can save on vegetables by getting an organic produce box delivered to your door, shopping at a cooperative, following simple shopping tips or clipping soymilk coupons.

Another significant way you can green your food while saving money is switching to reusable products wherever you can. Buying a home soda maker that uses reusable bottles, going with a reusable coffee filter, switching from paper towels to dish cloths, using reusable food storage containers and reusing your freezer bags will keep a lot of waste out of the landfills. Something as simple as a nice reusable recycled lunch bag can save you hundreds of dollars if it reduces how often you buy lunch out. The same can be said for switching from bottled water to drinking tap water from a reusable bottle.
