Hm, hard for me to support Walmart, with their history of extreme discrimination, insufficient health care support, and the destruction of local businesses that inevitably results after they move in. There are a million documentaries/websites about the many evils of Walmart, but walmartwatch.com has a good summary. Not sure it's worth supporting the environment on the backs of the Walmart workers.
I'm glad you commented on this, I always feel a little weird posting deals from large companies with track records like Wal-Mart's. The reason I do it is that part of the aim of this site is to make "going green" as accessible as possible. By posting deals from stores like Wal-Mart my hope is that someone who shops there anyway will try out the green products they sell. Also increasing the popularity of green products at Wal-Mart sends a message to them that we want more stuff like this. Anyway, I'm really glad you brought some of the issues with Wal-Mart to light. I think in the future I may try to implement some sort of user-generated retailer rating scheme - but that may be a ways off.
