Doing her part to recycle and reuse materials, Teresa Van Hattan (aka the Green Bag Lady) began making her own fabric totes for shopping to eliminate the need to use paper or plastic bags. She began giving them to her friends & college kids in her classes. As word of her project spread, she began receiving more and more requests for her bags. She doesn't sell or receive money for them. The only thing that she asks in return is that the recipient promise to use them instead of paper or plastic.
